Sacramento State pulled off a major upset Saturday over Pac-12 school University of Colorado, beating the Buffaloes 30-28.
A 30-yard field goal by junior Edgar Castaneda as time expired sealed the victory for Sac State.
The game-winning drive started on Sac State’s 15-yard line. Only 2:26 remained in the game, with the Hornets trailing 28-27.
With the win, the Hornets improve to 1-1. Colorado is now sitting at 0-2. In 2011, the Hornets started off the year with an upset of another Pac-12 school Oregon State. Sac State eventually finished the year with a 4-7 record.
