Loomis House Shot at in Attemtped Pot Burglary

LOOMIS-

A green house filled with pot plants in Loomis was the target of an attempted burglary early Wednesday morning.

According to Sgt. Jason Lockhart of the Placer County Sheriff’s Department, several suspect possibly wearing ski masks attempted to steal from a a homeowner ,”They were at the home to steal the person’s medical marijuana.”

Investigators say the man was sleeping outside to guard his 100 pot plants.

The suspects fired two shots at the house during their getaway, deputies say. No one was hurt or injured.  Investigators are now trying to determine if the pot grow is legal.
