Man Finds Wife, Children Dead in Home

RANCHO CORDOVA-

Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies say a man in his 20’s found his wife and two of their children dead in the family’s home Tuesday afternoon.

The bodies were found in a home on Desoto Way near Gould Way. The two children are a 2-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl.

Investigators describe the scene as particularly gruesome.

“There’s an extensive amount of blood. The officers that have gone inside have described a horrific crime scene,” said Sheriff’s Department spokesman Deputy Jason Ramos.

Ramos told FOX40 that there was a third child, a baby, unharmed in the home as well.

The man reportedly used his neighbor’s phone after discovering the bodies. Both he and his neighbor are being questioned by investigators, though they are not believed to be connected with the murders.

Cops are now looking for the family’s white 2005 Town and Country mini van with California plates 6LFY276. The young father says it was at the home when he left in the morning and it was gone when he came home.

So sad and so senseless. Murder is so horrible, but why babies? That poor father and family. Our hearts go out to them.

My father was murdered a couple years ago.

I can’t even imagine the pain that the family is feeling right now. This is just sad and unbelievable that someone could do such a horrific thing. My prayers go

Out to the family and I

Hope whenever they find this person, they get what they deserve.

This happened right behind a friend of mines home. I can't imagine how scared they must be having had this happen so close to their home.

My thoughts and prayers to the family of the victims.

I hope for them and all of us here in Rancho Cordova they find this sick, heartless person or persons soon.

and still many in CA are against the death penalty, even judges who have blocked executions. will be interesting to see if the voters discontinue the death penalty.

The person that kills you, knows you.

Husband should be investigated for any dope deals or other shady dealings, etc. or maybe he snapped. Happened before (Jeffrey MacDonald, 1970).

another sick, senseless tragedy… one after the other… this is all we read about in the news day in and day out. we must correct the root of what causes this horrific prevalence of societal violence. and, enact laws to keep these kinds of disturbed perpetrators incarcerated before they can harm others. how is it even possible for a homicidal maniac be rehabilitated? it is unfortunate to have to say it, but such mindsets really need to be put out of their misery. why don't these vile killers start with themselves and leave other victims out of their rampages? how can anyone take out such evil on a young mother and her helpless little children? this is totally unimaginable! and, painful memories from such a huge loss will never go away. our family went through it when one of our own was abducted and viciously murdered by a pedophile. he was caught and executed, so he would not ever be capable of a repeat performance! the infliction of emotional distress not only effects the family of origin, but future generations are also impacted. i am praying very hard for the husband and family to receive the proper counseling because working through the process of grieving can begin to heal from these deep wounds….no, it never goes away – but, yes, it does get better.

I agree with Gina and thought the EXACT same thing. You can never overlook anyone in a case like this because you just never know.

Gina is not an idiot for giving an opinion, it's a valid one. An idiot is the one that tries to censor those around them simply because they don't like what is being said. Not knowing the family has nothing to do with it as many who "son't know the family" feel bad and think the couple is "sweet". I respect everyone's right to have their opinion, and so should you.
