A tanker truck spilled about 2,000 gallons of fuel in San Joaquin County, and the mess will keep the road closed for hours.

The truck crashed along Lonetree Road in Escalon.

The driver is ok. No word on what may have caused the accident.

Clean-up crews say they will keep the road closed until 10 a.m. to clear the roadway. There was about 4,000 gallons on the truck when it crashed, the remaining 2,000 gallons will need to be off-loaded before the truck can be moved.
