Sacramento County said Wednesday that Sutter Health will soon add 500 jobs in a leased Mather Field building, which the hospital denied.

Carlk Whitten from the Sacramento County Economic Development Department said Wednesday morning that they hope to have Sutter Health moved into the building by March or April of 2013.

Sutter Health told FOX40 that what the county said was incorrect. The hospital is relocating existing jobs to the 100,000 square-foot building on Peter A. McCuen Boulevard.

“The new facility will provide employees with modern, energy-efficient space,” Sutter’s Amy Davis wrote to FOX40. “The building also provides more employee parking.”

Davis added that the goal of the move is to become more affordable to patients.
