SACRAMENTO COUNTY-
A high speed chase Wednesday evening began in Citrus Heights and ended in North Highlands with two arrests.
The chase started shortly before 5:30 p.m. when county Sheriff’s deputies and Sacramento Police officers were trying to stop a car near Walegra Road and Oak Hollow Drive.
Officers were led through McClellan Air Force Base, up Interstate-80 before it ended neat Walnut Avenue and Kohler Avenue in the North Highlands neighborhood.
At some point, a gun was reportedly thrown from the car during the chase. Deputies say they were later able to find it.
