For the first time in three years, the California Highway Patrol is set to accept applications for new officers.
The CHP announced that they will accept online applications during a three day period from Thursday, Jan. 3 through Saturday, Jan. 5.
In a press release, Commissioner Joe Farrow says, “officers are needed throughout California.” He also stressed that a career in law enforcement offers “unlmited opportunities for someone who is looking for a challenge.”
To be considered, candidates must be 20-35 years old, a U.S. citizen, and have a high school diploma. Each applicant will then have to complete a written test, physcial ability test, panel interview, background check, medical evaluation, and psychological evaluation.
