Fans across the county lined up Thursday for the opening of the latest and final film of the “Twilight” series, “Breaking Dawn Part 2.”

The vampire romance flick is expected to bring in close to $150 million opening weekend, and that’s just what the doctor ordered in the entertainment business.

Despite smash hits like “The Dark Knight Rises” and “The Avengers,” this summer’s box office numbers were considered to be dismal. Now, the film industry is banking on fall and winter blockbusters.

New “Twilight” and “James Bond” films, along with the first installment in Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit” series are being counted on heavily to sell tickets and get people to want to go to the movies again.
