A ski instructor has died, days after being in an accident while skiing at Alpine Meadows. Annalise Kjolhede, 24, passed away Tuesday night.
The ski resort says she wearing a helmet when she crashed last Saturday. She had injuries to her head and neck.
Kjolhede has been with Alpine Meadows for one season, and taught as part of their kids ski school.
“Her outgoing personality, passion for working with kids and friendly nature will be remembered and missed by all of her friends and colleagues here at Squaw and Alpine. Her passing is a tragic loss for our team and community,” said Alpine Meadows in a press release.
Alpine Meadows is still closed right now, they are scheduled to open December 7.
