Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. will announce his resignation from Congress today in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner , Jackson’s brother Jonathan Jackson said.
He spoke to the Chicago Tribune by telephone. The congressman could not be reached for confirmation. Boehner’s office also could not be immediately reached.
