SOUTH SACRAMENTO -
A shopper threatened to stab people while in line for K-Mart doorbuster deals in South Sacramento.
A line of hundreds had started wrapping the building on Stockton Boulevard since 2 a.m.
Once people came out to give vouchers, the crowds began yelling, cutting and screaming obscenities. That’s when one man threatened to stab others. They laughed, but he said he wasn’t joking. The people entered the store without any problems.
Officers arrived to cheers a little after K-Mart doors opened at 6 a.m. They said there should have been security to control the mob.
K-Mart has more doorbuster deals starting 8p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday.

This story goes nowhere. The guy didn’t stab anyone, he wasn’t arrested and he didn’t have a knife. So what’s the big deal?

Even Jack The Ripper has the Christmas Spirit. Once I was talked into standing in line for a Best Buy "door buster". Bought 12 inch TVs for $50 each. The remainder of the year 12inch TVs were $50 all over. No more door busters for me. I'll pay a few dollars more at my leisure.

Anyone who cuts in line with hundreds of rabid shoppers with only so much to spend is asking for trouble – but he should have been arrested to see if he had a knife. The millions of Americans who see this will just think even less of urban shoppers.
