For 36 years, the MMA Bikers have hopped on their motorcycles for the Sacramento State Capitol Toy Run.

Over a thousand bikers participated this year.

“We’re one of the largest providers of toys to the Toys for Tots program,” said Brad Vinnard, an MMA spokesman.

The drive started at the Sacramento 6 Drive-in Theater and ended at the Capitol building in downtown, where over 500 toys were eventually donated.

“Bikers have this perception that they are bad people. But they’re actually pretty cool and provide toys for all of Sacramento,” said Marine Corps Corporal Joshua Vargas, Sacramento’s Toys for Tots coordinator.

Two Uhauls were needed to carry the toys.

“We do it because it gives us great enjoyment to be able to provide kids that are less fortunate with toys,” Vinnard said.

You can still make a donation for Toys for Tots. Head over to for more information.
