Sac Metro Fire Looking for Arson Suspect

CARMICHAEL–

“Firefighters came in and saw heavy smoke, it was like this dense fog, just complete pure smoke pouring out of the building,” says Michelle Eidam of the Sacramento Metro Fire Department.

Fire crews got a call around 11:30 p.m. Saturday from a Jack In The Box drive-thru customer — who was the first person to report the fire at the now vacant home appliance store off of Fair Oaks Blvd.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire before it severely damaged Brother’s Papadapolis Florist next door.

“I am very lucky!” says owner Frank Papadapolis. His shop remained open for business Sunday, despite some damages to his wall.

Arson investigators told FOX40 they believe this fire is suspicious. Sunday evening, they did not have any suspects. If you have any information please call the Sac Metro Fire Arson tip line at (916)-859-3775.
