Sacramento Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a homeless man who hit their car with a stolen Lexus early Tuesday morning in Fair Oaks.
Deputies tried pulling over the man around 2 a.m. on Madison Avenue near Chicago Avenue when they recognized the Lexus was stolen.
The man in his 20′s took off, leading deputies on a chase.
He hit a dead end and then hit the patrol car and a mailbox while attempting to make a U-turn.
The man got back on the road and eventually stopped when he lost control of the car and smashed into a tree. He was taken into a custody. No one was injured.
