After a car came smashing through a Stockton home Monday family believe a picture may have saved their lives.
A photo of Sanny’s great grandmother was about to be hung by her mom and boyfriend when something told them not to.
They left the photo on the floor when moments later the crashed through their home aiming strait toward the picture.
“She felt like grandma is still watching over us,” said Sanny.
A china cabinet fell on her boyfriend Vandoeun.
“I didn’t know I was bleeding everywhere,” he said.
Vandoeun’s was more concerned for Sanny whose foot was pinned between the couch, coffee table and car.
“My grandpa and mom helped. It took all our strength to lift it up from her feet,” said Vandoeun.
With their living room half gone and glass everywhere, it’s a miracle the pair walked away with a few stitches and bruises.
And their daughter, who was taken out of the room minutes before the crash, will survive to hear the story of the photo that saved her family’s lives.
Two teens driving the stolen vehicle were being followed by police when they lost control of the car.
The City of Stockton had the hole temporarily boarded up.
