The mother of Roderick Clifton, one of two people missing for nearly a week, told FOX40 Wednesday night that the couple was found.
Roderick Clifton and girlfriend Paula Lane were last seen Thursday, Nov. 29 leaving Clifton’s mother’s home in Citrus Heights. They were heading back to Lane’s home in Gardnerville, Nev., a trip that should have only taken a couple of hours.
Citrus Heights Police say Lane was found on the main highway near Sorenson’s Resort. Clifton reportedly left the car to get help and never returned. Lane left sometime later, according to deputies, and eventually found her way to the main road near highways 88 and 89.
Clifton’s mother told FOX40 that her son had died. Police say Lane’s condition is non-life-threatening. A family member reportedly found Lane.
Police told FOX40 that reports suggest the couple had gotten off their main route when their Jeep became stuck in the snow.
