Entering Saturday’s NorCal Regional Football Championship game against De La Salle, the Folsom Bulldogs are trying to do one thing.
Forget about the Spartans incredible and unmatched history of winning.
“We’re not gonna change here in week 15 just because it’s De La Salle,” explained sophomore quarterback Jake Browning.
“Everyone knows what they’ve done,” said Head Coach Kris Richardson. “Our job is to do what we do. Execute our game plan and to not worry about what they are doing.”
Saturday’s loser is finished, meaning no shot at a State title the follow weekend in Carson. That doesn’t sit well with either team since both are undefeated, but for now Folsom believes they are just as deserving for this game as their opponent.
“We proved ourselves 2 years ago when nobody expected us to beat Grant,” explained Richardson. “We’ve won big games and stepped up to every challenge. We just want to play our game and hopefully come out with the “W” on Saturday night.”
