A broken washing machine is turning into a big inconvenience for a Turlock shelter.
We Care houses 38 men during cold-weather months. One of their three washing machines broke down this week – with another on its last legs.
“People are so wonderful in our community, donating them, but we are just working them,” said Jan Tucker with the shelter.
Tucker notes washing machines at the shelter are always in constant use.
“On an average season, we usually have to replace washers three to four times,” Tucker said.
