Thanks to a call by an 11-year-old girl, her father is now in jail facing child endangerment charges.

Police got the call around 4:30 p.m. Friday, with the girl reporting that her father was physically abusing her.

Officers quickly got to the home – near 65^th Avenue and 21^st Street – of the reported abuse and were confronted by the father, 33-year-old Ali Fetuu.

The man then allegedly threatened officers with a large knife. A short standoff ensued, but Fetuu surrendered and was arrested.

Injuries to the girl are said to be non-life threatening, but she did have to be taken to the hospital for treatment.

Fetuu now faces a charge of felony child endangerment and threating with a weapon.
