Sacramento County Sheriff’s are investigating a homicide along Purvis Road in Herald.

A 50-year-old man was found shot to death. Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle speeding off, but no further descriptions on any possible suspects have been given.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m.
