carepkgSACRAMENTO-

Charity group Move America Forward says someone stole 25 care packages meant for American troops stationed in Afghanistan over the weekend.

According to the group, someone had broken the lock where about 400 care packages were being stored, near Watt Avenue and Folsom Boulevard. Roughly $5,000 worth of goods were taken.

A Move America Forward representative told FOX40 that they’ve filed a police report and work is being done to make the remaining packages secure.

The packages generally contain snacks and essentials like deodorant, sun screen, bug spray and lip balm.
