A man who broke into a Sacramento church Monday morning was released from police custody after a request from a youth pastor.
The man broke into the First Church of God on 58th and 15th Streets through a window around 3:30 a.m.
Police came after an alarm went off and arrested the man.
The man said he was just looking for a warm place to sleep and was released from custody after a youth pastor arrived and asked he be given a second chance.

Well done, First Church and Youth Pastor John Bertera. Great example of what the Christian life can look like.
