Six million people will take to the skies to get to loved ones’ homes for the holidays but with this week’s wet, snowy weather their travel is taking longer than expected.
Chicago’s airports have had several cancellations and even more delays. San Francisco has had some bad weather of its own, causing delays averaging more than three hours long. Half of the flights landing and taking off from the airport are delayed by at least three hours.
Sac International has a lot less problems, but they are having delays due to planes not being able to take off from other airports.
Before you hop in your car to head to the airport, it’s wise to check flight logs to see if your flight is on time. It’s also important that you arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight takes off.
Parking at the Sacramento Airport may get dicey as the economy lot could fill to capacity.
