A Woodland family’s car nearly went up in flames early Sunday morning, after a smoldering wine bottle was found under it.
Police got the scene at around 1:52 a.m. A woman had reported that her daughter saw the smoldering bottle under the car after coming home for the night. Her son then took the bottle and put the flame out.
Officers later found that it was a wine bottle that looked to have contained a flammable liquid, like gasoline.
The daughter also told police that she saw two suspects running away.
Police are still investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (530) 666-2411.
