Deputies are trying to piece together what led up to a man being shot to death at Sheldon Park early Monday morning.
A man called 911 just before 2 a.m., telling dispatch that he had been shot. Other than his location, the man didn’t give any more information about the shooting or possible shooter.
Authorities got to the park and were able to find a man that looks to be in his late 40’s suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity has not been released at this time.
The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department asks anyone with information about the shooting to call (916) 874-5115, as they have not been able to find a motive or any possible suspects.
