Douglas Cappa was arrested for burglary, vandalism, reckless discharge of a firearm and false imprisonment.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies say a man armed with a gun refused to come out of his home Wednesday night.

Deputies responded to the home, on Wurth Court, after several reports of shots fired. Two adults and four children were also inside the home.

The man refused to come out for deputies. A short time later, an adult was able to get out a window, and brought the children out with her.

Deputies continued to make contact with the man inside, identified as Douglas Cappa, but he refused to come out of the home.

Two hours later, a woman left the home, followed by Cappa.

Cappa was booked into the Sacramento County Jail on charges including burglary and reckless discharge of a firearm.
