CITRUS HEIGHTS -
A Citrus Heights police officer shot and killed a car thief suspect early Thursday morning.
Officer Bryan Fritsch says police responded to a call of a suspicious person at the Glen Alta Drive and Debbie Ann Court intersection around 2 a.m.
When an officer arrived, he confronted a man matching a caller’s description of the suspects. Citrus Heights Police say the officer at some point with the suspect feared for his life, and opened fire.
The suspect who was shot later died at the hospital.
A second person in a second car was arrested for attempted vehicle theft.
No officers were injured during this incident, and the blocked-off section og Glen Alta Drive was reopened shortly before 5:30 p.m.

I hope a cop gets an itchy trigger finger when pulling a member of your family over and shoots and kills atleast one member. Maybe you would high five him too?

All the media sites have different stories about this. The only thing they agree on is one person is dead. I’m all for the cops shooting someone when necessary but IF the dead guy didn’t show a weapon or threaten the cop with one then this shooting in my opinion was unjustified. So far no reports of him having a weapon.

People are sick in the head ti glorify anybodies death, especially a 19year old kid, still a teenager, ya he was old enough to make bad choices but to shoot a harmless 115 pound boy 3 times is wrong, sick, and illegal, please open,ur eyes whoever is investigating this, then again there will probly be more of a cover up then actuall justice, rest in piece,
