Police: Gun Used in New Year’s Eve Shooting was Stolen
Sacramento Police said Thursday that the gun used in a New Year’s Eve shooting that killed two people in Old Sacramento was stolen.
Officer Doug Morse told FOX40 that the gun was stolen from a “neighboring jurisdiction” a few years ago but would not be more specific than that.
The gun was allegedly used by 22-year-old Carlito Montoya after an argument inside Sports Corner bar escalated. Bartender Daniel Ferrier and customer Gabriel Cordova were killed. Cordova’s wife, Christina, was injured in the shooting, along with security guard Stefan Walton.
