BROOKFIELD, Massachusetts (KTLA.com) —
A Massachusetts man has a story that some might find hard to believe.
Not only did he have to fight off a bobcat in his garage on Sunday, but he’s also in surprisingly good shape after the attack.
Roger Mundell has the battle scars to prove he went face-to-face with the big cat.
When the animal found its way into his garage, it would stop at nothing to get out.
The animal attacked Mundell, and then turned on his 15-year-old nephew.
“So I had to go get it off my nephew,” Mundell told location station WHDH. “I was in a T-shirt by then, and that’s when it got… you know, ripped up my arms and stuff like that.”
“Just jumped on him, you know, with the claws on him, and then was just trying to get him,” he recalled.
Mundell and his wife used a crutch to hit the bobcat before he shot and killed it.
He and his nephew were treated at a nearby hospital.
The dead bobcat was taken to a veterinary hospital, where it will be tested for rabies.
