Police: Family ‘Uncooperative’ After Deadly Stabbing

Modesto Police are saying that they have arrested two family members of man who was stabbed to death Saturday night – with the murder suspect still said to be at-large.

Francisco Hernandez Gonzales, 50, is said to have stabbed a 55-year-old man multiple times.

The family members, 26-year-old Richard Gonzales and 33-year-old Jaime Bacca, are charged with being accessories to a murder after they allegedly drove Francisco Hernandez away from the scene of the stabbing.

A 911 call was made after Francisco Hernandez fled.

Once authorities arrived at the scene, near Yosemite Boulevard and Beard Avenue, they found the 55-year-old and transported him to a local hospital. He later died of his injuries.

Police have been investigating the incident and note that the family has not been cooperative. Both Richard Gonzales and Bacca were arrested and booked into Stanislaus County Jail.

Francisco Hernandez is still at-large. Police note that he is 5’4’’ tall and walks with a pronounced limp, thanks to having a prosthetic leg.
