Amtrak Train Hits Car in Davis, No One Hurt


An Amtrak hit a car Monday night in Davis, but no one was hurt.

The car had stalled on the tracks on Yolo County Road 32a near County Road 105. No one was in the car when it was hit, around 8:30 p.m.

Six people were on board the train. None of them were injured.

The train is stopped as the scene is cleaned up.

Despite no one being injured at the scene, a California Highway Patrol officer lost control of his vehicle in Natomas while responding to the accident in Davis. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
