Saturday’s performance against the GreenBay Packers made Colin Kaepernick a legend.
He’s now Turlock’s local hero, with one fan dubbing him a “Turlocal.”
While the rest of the family was at the game, Kaepernick’s mother Teresa couldn’t make it because she was not feeling well. Still, Teresa and her husband are very proud of their son.
Teresa said her son is such a sweetheart, that he called right after the game to see if she was okay.
Kaipernick gained the most rushing yards for a quarterback in NFL playoff history, almost singlehandedly leading the 49ers to the NFC Championship.
“They have named pizzas, sandwiches and hotdogs after him in Turlock,” said fan Darrell Leaman.
“We’re valley boys, Fresno State is our team, but when Kaepernick went to Nevada we became Nevada fans,” said fan Stuart Saugstand.
Kaepernick’s parents said they are now deciding if they are going to Atlanta next Sunday to watch him play against the Falcons.
