Charges against a self-proclaimed pastor accused of attacking his roommate with a sword have been dropped, the Sacramento Superior Court said Friday.

The charges were dropped because of “insufficient evidence,” the court said.

The roommate of 51-year-old David Goudie told FOX40 in December that Goudie attacked him and severely injured his groin area.

David Mock, Goudie’s roommate, is expected to recover. He told FOX40 that Goudie had been acting strangely leading up to the alleged attack.

“The day he did this, he was on a 24-hour vodka orange juice binge,” Mock said.

Mock told FOX40 that he doesn’t blame Goudie, because he may not have known what was going on.
