Within a 24-hour period, two pizza delivery drivers in Woodland were robbed while attempting deliveries.
Saturday night, a Pizza Guys driver was robbed at knife point by two men wearing ski masks along West Cross Street.
Then, on Sunday night, a Domino’s Pizza driver was delivering to a home on East Keystone Avenue. He was robbed at gunpoint in the street by a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
“There’s some similarities , but enough differences to where we can’t say that they are completely connected,” said Woodland Police Sgt. Steve Sexton.
Connected or not, it does leave the Woodland pizza delivery community a little shaken.
While Master Pizza was not one of the businesses targeted, they say this has made them change some of their delivery procedures and to stay more vigilant.
“From now on we are cashing them out as soon as they get back, carrying the least amount of cash as possible. We make sure we don’t go to areas that are known for being not safe,” said Tony Garcia, night shift supervisor at Master Pizza.
James Myers filed this report.
