Police Arrest Man Suspected of Assaulting, Robbing Pizza Delivery Driver

SACRAMENTO-

Police arrested a man they say assaulted and robbed a pizza delivery driver Monday night.

A pizza delivery driver was bring food to an apartment near Howe Avenue and Edison Avenue at around 9:15 p.m., when police say 22-year-old Jerry Twotuff Adams robbed and assaulted him with a gun.

Adams stole the driver’s phone, wallet, pizza and car, according to investigators.

Police say an officer soon spotted the car, which immediately crashed. Two people fled from the car, officers say.

Officers were able to catch one of them, who ended up being Adams.

Adams was booked into jail for violating his parole, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery and carjacking.
