There are more bird strikes reported each year at Sacramento International Airport than any other airport in California.
Although, new technology suggests the incidents could be prevented. A $500,000 radar system used to monitor wildlife near the runway could track animals.
But, a spokesperson from Sacramento International tells FOX40 that the technology, (used in other airports) “won’t meet the airport’s needs.”
More than 100 bird strikes are reported each year at Sacramento International.
