ROSEVILLE—
Police have arrested a man believed to be responsible for two bank robberies last week.
Both of the banks that were robbed are inside of Roseville Safeways. In each robbery, the suspect gave a note to a teller that demanded money.
Surveillance footage caught the suspect on camera and allowed authorities to identify a suspect – as well as link him to two car thefts in the area.
Early Tuesday morning, a Roseville police officer ran a plate of a car near Sierra College Boulevard and Taylor Road. The car came up stolen.
The officer pulled the car over and soon arrested 31-year-old Antelope resident Randy Wesley Penny.
Penny now faces robbery and vehicle theft charges.
