After Deadly Crash, Student Counseling is Offered
After a deadly car crash that killed two teens Sunday night, two Auburn churches are offering counseling for students affected.
The Bethlehem Lutheran Church on High Street is providing therapists every Tuesday evening for the next six weeks, for 7th graders and older.
Counseling at Bayside Church on Nevada Church in Auburn is set to begin Monday afternoon.
Del Oro High School student Morgan Helman and Newcastle Elementary 8th grader Vivian Connor were killed when the SUV they were riding in crashed Sunday night along Auburn Folsom Road.
Four other teens, including the 17-year-old driver, were taken to the hospital. The driver had a provisional license, and was not supposed to have underage passengers in the car.
