For the first time ever, Sacramento’s State of the City address will be open, for free, to the general public.

Mayor Kevin Johnson’s theme this year is “Sacramento – A City That Works For Everyone” and it will take place Feb. 28 at Memorial Auditorium.

The event will include a performance of the National Anthem by local music icon Jackie Green.

Attendees are asked to bring a can of food to be donated to the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services and the River City Food Bank.

Tickets are free but you need to claim your seat at the Memorial Auditorium. To do that, click here.
