A vigil is being held Tuesday night in Creekwood Park, where 18-year-old Tylor Crippen was stabbed to dead Jan. 29.
“He was really shy. When he did talk, he’d convince you to think the way he was. He was a really smart kid. He’d never really start any trouble,” Jose Cortez, a friend of Crippen’s, told FOX40 Friday.
Crippen was walking with his girlfriend when they were attacked by three teenagers. Crippen’s girlfriend was able to get away.
Police arrested the three attackers, who are suspected gang members.
Following Crippen’s death, neighbors began patrolling the south Modesto park on their bicycles.
