STOCKTON—

An argument over a tent resulted in a stabbing by a machete-wielding suspect late Tuesday afternoon.

Police say that a 30-year-old man was near E Jefferson Street and Bieghle Alley around 5:30 p.m. when he got in an argument with three people.

The argument supposedly started over who owned a tent.

Eventually, the argument turned violent – with one of the suspects stabbing the 30-year-old with a machete-like weapon.

The man had to be taken to a local hospital, but he is expected to be OK.
