Students Organize Vigil for Siblings Killed in Apparent Murder-Suicide

Hundreds of students set up for a vigil at Bret Harte Union High School in Angels Camp Wednesday to remember Alex and Macaila Marshall.

Organized by student leadership, the memorial will take place in the quad of the high school. Students have been instructed to wear white. More than 500 candles have been passed out to help the community mourn.

Alex and Macaila are believed by investigators to have been killed by their father, Philip, in an apparent murder-suicide.

The vigil began Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
