SACRAMENTO-
A guy who robbed a Sacramento bank in broad daylight Thursday was caught moments later after crashing into two cars and a police cruiser.
Around 10 a.m., a man robbed the US Bank branch along Broadway near 34th Street. Witnesses were able to describe the suspect’s truck to responding officers and they started chasing him.
A few blocks away the suspect’s truck crashed into a parked car, then backed into a police squad car, and tried to take off.
Near Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and 12th Avenue he crashed again into a minivan and cops were able to arrest him.
The weapon he used during the robbery was a fake gun.
Investigators are now trying to figure out if the suspect is connected to other bank robberies.
