SACRAMENTO -

In an attempt to get away from cops, a man hid in a Sacramento dumpster early Thursday morning.

Sacramento Police responded to calls of shots fired around 12:30 a.m. in the area of South Land Park Drive and Willow Lake Way.

On their way there, cops spotted a motorcycle speeding away from the scene.

When officers tried to pull the bike over, the suspect took off, leading them on a chase around I-5.

The chase ended when the suspect parked his bike at an apartment complex on Creeks Edge Way and hid in a dumpster.

Police found the man and arrested him. They also found a gun they say the suspect tried to throw away.
