The brackets have been released for the Sac Joaquin Section high school basketball tournament.
There is no surprise at the top of the Division I brackets for boys and girls. Sheldon is seeded number one in boys D-I, and will open the tournament Wednesday, Feb. 20 with a home game against the winner of Friday’s out-bracket game between Bear Creek and Rodriquez.
St. Mary’s is the top seeded team in girls D-I. The Rams will open at home in Stockton on Tuesday, Feb. 19 against Bear Creek. First and second round games, for boys and girls in D-I through D-V, will be played at home sites, with the higher rated team given home advantage.
Semi-finals and finals will be played at Sleep Train Arena. D-VI boys and D-VI girls will play championship games at Galt High School.
