A man tells Stockton Police that he was beaten with a baseball bat then run over hours later by the same person.

Raymond Hendrickson, 47, told police that he and three of his friends were walking near East Lafayette and South Union streets around 1 p.m. on Friday when a man with a baseball bat accused them of trying to steal a car. The suspect attacked the men, sending one to the hospital and leaving the others with injuries.

Later that afternoon, Hendrickson told police that the same man drove up the curb, hitting him and his friends while they were walking on East Lafayette Street and South Airport Way. The suspect then reversed his truck and made a second run at one of the individuals. Hendrickson and his friends are expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, with a medium build and short hair.
