SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY -

A person died in a car crash just east of Stockton early Tuesday morning, shutting down both lanes of a highway.

The deadly accident happened on State Route 26 just east of 99 in San Joaquin County.

Reports say the crash involves multiple vehicles, including a big rig.

According to CHP, the collision is blocking both directions of State Route 26.

There’s no word on when those lanes should reopen.
