Apartment Unit Hit with $30,000 in Damages

Carmichael FireCARMICHAEL –

A fire caused about $30,000 worth of damage to an apartment complex in Carmichael late Tuesday night.

The fire started around 11:45 p.m. on Fair Oaks near Hollister Avenue.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire in the unit it started in, which they say was vacant.

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Battalion Chief said there has been suspicious activity in the complex in the past but they can not determine a cause until further investigation was done.

No one was injured.
