SACRAMENTO-

Police say they had to tase a man, a suspected vandal, after a brief foot chase and struggle Wednesday night.

David Lomakin, 31, ran from officers  along 16th Street near E Street after he allegedly vandalized several cars.

After cops caught up to Lomakin, he put up a fight and assaulted one of the officers, police say. Officers tased Lomakin.

He was taken into custody for vandalism, assault on an officer and resisting arrest. No officers were injured.

Lomakin is accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage to the cars.
