Couple Goes Missing in Peru; Made Last Contact in January

WEST SACRAMENTO–

Jennifer Neal and her sister Stacy Fingers haven’t been able to sleep much. Not since their sister, Jamie — Stacy’s twin — was last heard from a month ago in Peru.

“She’s my sister. I’m just not gonna listen to anybody until she calls me,” Jennifer said, as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Jamie’s twin’s biggest fear: “That she’s not safe,” Stacy said.

“We’re all three pretty close. We’ve all three really had each other for a long time,” Jennifer  added.

Jamie Neal and her boyfriend Garrett Hand, left in December for an biking adventure there. They were last heard from on Jan. 25.

Jamie’s last communication with Jennifer was on the 25th , in a Facebook post. And countless pictures Jamie has posted along the way have suddenly stopped. Garrett’s cell phone, simply goes to a recording.

Stacy sensed something was up early on.

“Just a worried feeling. Like something was wrong,” she said.

Jamie has always been the adventurer, but never gave them reason to worry.

Although they are in close contact with the embassy, the sisters hope that in coming forward, someone who knows something will help, ultimately bringing them home.

“Until someone shows me proof, that she’s not missing, I don’t believe it,” Jennifer said.

Are you aware of the 3 Americans who were attacked and severely injured and abused by villagers in the same area of Peru? Check the story about Jennifer Wolfram who was attacked along with Jed and Meghan Doherty by villagers outside of Cuzco last December. It is a scary story about a senseless, viscous attack which could very well have ended in death to the Americans. There is no hint of kidnapping (I.E., for money, etc), just plain savagery. Please, please check this story! It sounds very eerie with circumstances so similar. It seems there is an effort to hide this first incident. It certainly has not been brought up in main stream media! Very dangerous situation down there. Prayers for family. Hope it turns out.

I visited the FB page set up in this couple's name to help generate new information and get information out to the public… I found it very peculiar that Gil Erez posted that he had "just been with the couple a week ago last Friday, 4 weeks after they were reported missing, and they were fine." First – how did he know to find their FB page? Did he know their names – because it sounds like it was a casual meet up? Gil seems to be stoned most of his days, so who knows if his recall is any good – but have the police contacted him??? Can the police there ping their cell phones? Why do I feel like Gil is either on the up and up and saw posters in his area about them missing — OR — he is trying to mix up the trail on where this couple have been to throw people off. He has certainly thrown himself into the fray, hasn't he. I hope he's legit – otherwise his appearance is suspicious to me.

He seems slightly disconnected from the universe (by choice) — did he stumble upon a flier posted in his area? Is the village talking about it? What? If there's no logical reason for him finding that FB page to say he had just seen them and "they're fine" (quote) — then one would have to assume he has inserted himself for two reasons : for attention, or to throw the search off.
